THE NEW
SEASON IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE.
Week commencing 13th
September sees the beginning of the 2010-2011 Table Tennis season with the
preliminary Round of the Peter Barclay Memorial Shield in which the holders of
the trophy, Hawarden “A” play their club colleagues Hawarden first team who
were relegated last year from Division One of the League. The League season
then begins in earnest on week commencing 20th September with a
full set fixtures in both Divisions.
Notification has also been
received from Kath Banks that the North Wales Counties T.T.A. are holding a
pre-season team competition, in which all Llandudno, Wrexham and East Flint
League members are eligible to play, playing in teams of two. Each match will
consist of 4 singles and a doubles, played to the best of 3 games. Matches
will be played in groups i.e. Juniors (under 18); Seniors (18 – 40); Vets
(40+) and Super Vets (60+). Play will be in groups, so it should be a good
day’s table tennis, the venue being Y Morfa Leisure Centre, Cader Avenue,
Kinmel Bay. LL18 5HU. on Saturday 18th September 2010 starting at
10.00 am and finishing at approximately 5.00 pm. Entry forms, with cheques,
are due in by September 13 please! so contact your Club Secretary, who will be
able to provide you with the necessary entry form.
